Today I went to breakfast with my classmates. The café’s name is Bogart’s Café. This café’s bagel is famous. This café located near Diamond Head, 3045 Monsarrat Ave　Honolulu, HI 96815. The café is not big. So when we went to the café, some people lined. After that, the café was crowded. We waited long time. But the taste was very good. I ordered breakfast bagel. It was 4.25 dollars. I think it was very cheap! After I ate bagel, I was full. It was enough for breakfast.

And we can choose some kinds of bagel, for example, plain, blueberry, garlic, onion, taro, wheat, spinach, and sesame. It can take out, so we ate them at park. So it was very good for picnic. We can also order many kinds of coffee. There are about ten kinds of coffee.
In the morning, there are some morning menus. So we can choose in breakfast. We went about at 9:00. At that time, the café was crowded. I recommend that you should go more early time or later.
In the café, there are many kinds of people, surfer, couple, worker, and loco people. You should go Bogart’s. you can feel peaceful mood.

Hey guys, what’s shaking? I introduce a famous bagel store in Oahu, Hawaii.This shop is called “Bogart's Cafe & Espresso Bar”, and located Monsarrat Ave Ste 3, Honolulu, HI. The phone number is (808) 739-0999. Also, over the road, there is Mexican restaurant. Besides, a parking can contain more than 15 cars.
Bogart’s Café serves coffee, espresso, bagel, sandwiches, desserts and waffles. Especially, plain is 1.40$. It’s so cheap, ya? Office hours are a little bit longer than other café, I think. Monday to Friday it serves, am 6:00 to pm 6:30. Saturday and Sunday, it serves am 6:00 to pm 6:00. It’s pretty good time. In this café, there are two long surfboards on the wall. It’s cool for surfers. If you want to eat other foods, you don’t go to another place because there are several foods shop near there, like L&L, Aloha Sushi, and Health Bar.
Anyway, when I went there, there were so many people waiting for ordering. It was 9:00 am. We, all who were 11 people, took about 1 hour to receive our order completely. However, this crowded means this shop is really genuine. We are at Kapiolani Park. It was so big! Of course, actually I did not eat the foods, everybody said to die for it!
Also, I learned from Nick in American culture, it is usual to meet friends at the breakfast. I was surprised because in Japan, we do not have the custom to go out to eat breakfast in the morning. I’m getting American culture well. If you have an opportunity to come Oahu, or if you live here, I recommend you guys to go there. It’ll be not sorry

On holiday; 6:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Although, this shop is so small, it is very popular in Hawaii, so there were so many people in there. We went there about 9:00 am, however, it took about 1 hour that everyone could get the Bagel. Nick said that oven can make only 4 bagels for one time. Maybe, it can’t be helped. By the way, there are famous about

Bagels,

Sandwiches,

and Omelets.

The cost is little expensive for me however, I ordered Breakfast Bagel. Its cost is only 4.25$!! That’s reasonable and it is big. When we bought the Bagel, we went to the park to eat. The bagel includes big eggs, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese. It tastes so good and healthy. If you want to eat breakfast, the shop always serves breakfast until 2:00 pm, so you may go there anytime.

Nice breakfast makes day to become nice. It is true!

Today I and my classmates went to one of the nicest bakery shop.

That shop’s name is BOGART’S. BOGART’S is located in 3045 monsarrat ave. Honolulu, Hawaii 96815. According to my teacher Nick, he said it takes about 1hour to come from Hawaii Tokai International College. So, if HTIC students want to start the day to nice, students try to wake up early and go BOGART’S by walk. It is very good morning exercise before breakfast.

Let’s look the main foods. BOGART’S is famous in three foods.
・Omelet
・Sandwich
・Bagel

Unfortunately, at that time I have a very strong stomachache…
I couldn’t eat nice foods. That makes me very sad.

But, I ordered Mocha. The mocha is very delicious!!
If I have next chance to go to BOGART’S, I will eat Bagel absolutely!!

Bagel from Monsarrat

Honolulu has Daimond Head.

We were going toward the magnificent volcano.

Going through Kapiolani Blvd, we could get the behind of Kapiolani Park.

We could see Diamond Head in front of us and the blue sea on our right.

We were in the Monsarrat Ave.

The coffee shop called "Bogart's" was there.

In the small shop, we were welcomed by beautiful clark.

I ordered "Bogart's Work ($3,50)" and buy a bottle of orange juice(4.50).

Orange juice was a little expesive, but the taste was really good.

"Bogart's Work" has two bagels.

Tomato was on the top and many bean sprouts were on the bagel.

Cheese and some spices were also there.

Taste... Really good.

I ate three bagels. They were amazing.

If you come to Honolulu, you should try it.

And also this shop’s clerks were very cute.
They looked like surf girl.
They are very cute, friendly, and also kind.
Always, they seemed very busy.

But, today I met the most delicious Bagel than I have ever eaten them.

The shop’s main drink is espresso.
Most customer ordered espresso or coffee.
My friend ordered fresh orange juice.
In the morning, we can eat breakfast bagel pretty good price.
It’s about $4.25!!!!!

Savory Breakfast.

Today, we went to the breakfast shop. That is café and espresso bar and famous for delicious bagel. This shop is near Kapiolani park. It takes about fifteen minutes from Hawaii Tokai International College by a car. The inside of a shop is little small and surfboard is decorated. It is very cool. But inside of the shop was crowded with people. This shop is really popular between local people. There are many people who were eating bagel and drinking espresso. The menu is really full of variety. In bagel, there are many kinds of flavor, blueberry, onion, spinach, cinnamon raisin, poppy seed, wheat, everything, sesame seed, plain, garlic, strawberry/guava, and taro. You can chosse only bagel or breakfast bagel, bagel works, and lox bagel. Breakfast is the most popular menu in this shop. Breakfast bagel is favorite flavor with jack and cheddar cheese, tomato, topped, with spinach, and light fluffy egg. Other menu is some kinds of omelets, bogart’s specialties, specialty sandwiches, pizza, nachos, soup and salad. Espresso has also variety of flavor and it is good price. Today, I chose everything flavor of breakfast bagel. It is below five dollars. When I received the bagel, my heart was hopping. We took out the bagel and we eat it in Kapiolani park. It is sunny today. I felt fresh breakfast. By the way, the bagel was really tasty and savory. I have not ever eaten such delicious bagel! I was really shocked and impressed. I want you to recommend BOGARD’S very much. If I have a chance, I want to go to BOGARD’S to relish great breakfast again.

Round Happiness

Bagel-it’s a kind of bread what was boiled and baked. Do you know that there is a store that has prime bagel? Near the Honolulu Zoo, there is café-Bogart’s on Monsarrat Avenue. We went to around 9’o clock, but the not so big shop was almost full of many people. In the shop, there are many dishes good for morning break fast like Sandwiches, omelets, and so on. Also, there are many kinds of drink. Shakes, Smoothies, and especially coffee seems like popular, many customers were ordering coffee. We can order espresso from about 2 dollars. The most special thing in morning on Bogart’s, we can order “break fast bagel sandwich (4.45 dollars.)” It is enough quantity for breakfast, and looks like very delicious. This time, I ordered raisin and cinnamon bagel with cream cheese (around 3dollers.) In this shop, so many kinds of bagel, so I suggest you to decide one you want order as soon as possible you can ;-) The bagel was toasted after we ordered, so we could enjoy warm and crispy one in a park that is near the shop. The bagel was very good filling, so you should go when you are very very hungry!! After we bought bagel, we went to a park that near the shop. Under the fresh sunlight in Honolulu, we ate them al we wants. It was so delicious, and harmony of delicate bagel's sweetness and sourness of rich cream cheese was wonderful. Delicious round bagel!!

Bagel is very popular bread among all generational people. This time, we went to a coffee house, BOGARTS. It’s located on Monsarrat Avenue in east Honolulu and near the Diamond Head. The shop is small, but very cute. The shop has small 10 tables, and was full when we arrive there. The shop produced a warm Hawaiian atmosphere, and it was also homely feel. I have heard the shop is famous for bagel, so I had decided to eat bagel. They are reasonable price, and they have 9 kinds, Blueberry, Onion, Spinach, Cinnamon Raison, Poppy Seed, Wheat, Everything, Sesame Seed, Plain, Garlic, Strawberry/Guava, and Taro. We can add cream cheese, butter, and so on. I ate “The Best Breakfast Bagel.” It is a bagel with cheese, spinach, and egg. The price was 4.25 dollars. It was so delicious!!! The cheese was melted, and the egg was fluffy. It is really good for breakfast. We can order this breakfast bagel until 2 o’clock. There are other various foods except bagel like sandwiches, pancakes, omelets and salads. I was surprised that the whiteboard was written full. One customer ordered huge pancakes with covered milk. It was fantastic. Also, there are a lot of beverages. We had to wait for a long time because the shop was really crowded, and there were a few clerks. One woman makes bagels very busily. I was not so board when I waited my bagel because the woman put toppings on bagels so fast. She was a professional!! I recommend you should go there when you are not busy. But, the taste was really great. I want to go there again. We ate at the park near BOGARTS. The park was huge and we can saw the Diamond Head. It was agreeable to eat outside. I had a little gorgeous breakfast time with a BOGARD’s bagel.

heaven of chocolate in Honolulu!!

I found heaven of chocolate in Honolulu!! In Ward Center, there are so many kinds of chocolate, for example... *Macadamia nut chocolate *Chocolate dippe oreo cookies *Cocolate Bars (milk and dark) *Popcorn Crunch Chocolate ... and so on The chocolates are used the freshest heavy cream and rich butter. You will want to eat it, if you see the chocolate. You should go there, even if you love chocolate or not!!

Awesome Sunset!

What’s up? Today I found the great place to see sunset with your girl friend. This is Magic Island. It is located 201 Ala Moana Blvd Honolulu, HI 96814 (808) 679-1055. This park is at the south end of Ala Moana Beach. You can go easily from Waikiki or any places. If you go there with your girl friend, she must fall in love with you. That’s why I recommend you. It is awesome! It is worth spending time and watching even if you are so busy man. You will never forget the beautiful view.

Have you ever clibmed diamond head? You can see the whole o'ahu island from the top of the diamond head. It is very exciting and wounderful, but to see the beautiful sight, you have to climb a steep hill. It is very hard work and you will sweat all over. But, you will forget such a hard work the moment you will see the very beautiful sight. You should climb the diamond head when you come to Hawaii.

Sweet ice cream

Today, I introduce one ice cream shop with YouTube. Bubbies is so famous home-made ice cream shop. It is located on University Avenue. The shop has opened for over 20 years. Bubbies is especially famous for "mochi ice." It is wrapped ice cream with mochi. Mochi ice has more than 17 special flavors, Azuki Bean, Green Tea, Guava, Lychee, Mango, Passion, Raspberry White Chocolate, Sakura, Strawberry, Chocolate mochi...etc from time to time!! Except mochi ice, the shop has also a variety of special and funny ice cream. Special sundaes’ names are Bathtub sundae and Toilet sundae. These are sundaes in the shop’s trademark bowls. This park located in front of Hawaii Tokai International College. We usually use this park for exercise. Many people use this park to play some sports, for example, soccer, baseball, and basketball. Everyone can play any sports. And we can run and walk. I belong to the soccer team. I sometimes play soccer in this park. Many people do exercise in this park in weekend. People can communicate other people. Let’s play sports in this park. You can enjoy and feel good nature.

famous canal in Hawaii

This is ala wai canal that is near our domitory. This is fomous in Hawaii. However, if you see this, you will think this canal is so dirty. Yes. Although, most sea is very beautiful, for example, waikiki, the ala wai canal looks so dirty. The water color is green or sometimes blown... We should clean someday.

By the way, there are many people paddle on the board in ala wai canal. It has become the famous sports in Hawaii. Sometimes, people who is in the board dropped to the canal from the board. Although, I saw this several time, everyone became dirty.

U2 Live in Honolulu

U2 is one of my favorite rock bands. They are all of Irish. The vocal who named Bono has very good voice, and other members that the edge is a guitarist, Adam Clayton is a bassist, and Larry Mullen Jr. is a drummer. They have good skills.

Crazy guys

There are amazing entertainers in Honolulu. We can hear their noisy screaming even from the way that is near the zoo-it's a Honolulu Zoo!! Along the Waikiki street, there is the zoo, and there are many animals in there. Colorful birds, reptiles, and of course, the king of beasts, lions. Also, the location is so nice. we can see Diamond Head from there. It's so beautiful, and you may fall into the illusion that you are in Africa. I think that the best animal is monkey. They are so active, and you can see their wonderful acrobatics whenever. If you have a chance to visit there, I strongly recommend going this area as fast as possible. I promise that these guys amuse you.

Cool Surf Spot

This surf spot is Ala moana Bowls in Honolulu.
In summer, we can have good waves to surf in this spot.
It would be 2-8 feet.

But not only that.

Night, many floating stars are in the sky, the view is so great.

It's located between Waikiki and Ala moana.
The Hilton Hotel faces Bowls.
It takes 20 minutes by walking from HTIC.
The bay shape is like a bowl.

Bowls is a good place for shot board surifing because the waves are very high and big,
sometimes 8 feet waves come in summer time.
There are very sharp rocks and urchins on the floor.

Bowls is connected to Rock pile, another surf spot.
The spot is too shallow. Be careful.

Diamond Head Surf Spot

Diamond Head is one of the most beautiful beaches on the south shore of Oahu. It is also one of the best surf spots in the city of Honolulu. If you want a spectacular experience, try surfing Cliffs or Lighthouse during the sunset. You will not be sorry.

I went to the original pancake house on a field trip during a core class. It was little crowded in the morning. It is located near the ward center. Pancake house was a place with a good atmosphere. It looks like old American’s restaurant. The restaurant is not distinguished very much, but interior decorations are very pretty. I want to recommend for women. Waitresses are very kind and friendly. There are some stained glasses in the restaurant. It is very beautiful and it has a feeling of hospitality. There are some terrace seats, if it is good weather it can eat delicious dishes in the terrace. Business hours are from 6 am to 2 pm. It does not open in the night. It is necessary to need little bit of attention about business hours. The first original pancake house was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1953 by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke. There are many the original pancake houses all over the world. The most popular dish is Macadamia Nut Pancake. There is Hawaiian pancake at the Hawaiian store. This is original menu in Hawaii. There are many kinds of pancakes, crepes, Belgian waffles, special breakfasts, additional choices, and sandwiches. These are not so expensive. Every dish is very attractive for me. Today, I wavered very much, but I chose Banana Pancake. There are five pancakes on one plate. It looks very fluffy and it is very big. It was very delicious. I have never eaten such delicious pancake. The moment of I put it into my mouth, good smell of banana spread around in my mouth. Anyway, there is apple pancake. It is one of the secret popular dishes. However, it takes a lot of time to make this. If I have a chance, I would like to go to the original pancake house again and I want to try to eat another dishes. Next time, I want to eat waffle or crape.

Great Fieldtrip

Hello, everyone. Do you know what pancake is? In Hawaii, pancake is so famous for sweet food. Americans like to eat it in the morning. First, I was surprised at seeing so crowded restaurant. Today, October 1, 2007, we went an original pancake restaurant at 9:00 am as our fieldtrip. When I saw inside of the restaurant throw the windows, there are so many people who were eating breakfast. In Japan, it is not usual to go outside to eat breakfast in the morning, so I thought it strange why Americans were coming here since morning. This is perhaps because I do not know how pancake is good. However, when we started eating pancake, everyone said, “This is so good!” everyone looked so happy when eating it. I became to understand the question. Pancake is awesome! I ate a toast then, and the toast was fine.
Second, I want to introduce the restaurant which I went today. The name is “The original pancake house.” Business hours are 6:00 to 2:00 every day. Usually, pancakes are about 6. 25$, but if you come here at 11:00 to 2:00, you can eat it more cheaply. This restaurant is located 1221 kapiolani Blvd, suite 103, Honolulu, Hawaii. Today, I had a first field trip in core 4. I went to the ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE with my classmates. We went to the restaurant at 9 o’clock. At that time, some people lined outside of the restaurant. The restaurant was not big. However, there are many seats in the restaurant. It had gracious mood. All customers enjoyed this mood. In 1953, the ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE was founded by Les Hight and Erma Hueneke in Portland, Oregon. There are many kind of food, for example, pancakes, waffles, eggs, and toast. All kind of foods are not expensive. Therefore, we can go easily. It is very convenient for student like us. This restaurant opens daily 6am to 2pm. Therefore, we can eat breakfast or lunch. Pancakes are recommended in this restaurant. There are many kinds of pancakes, for example, Hawaiian Pancakes, Swedish Pancakes, Blueberry Pancakes, Banana Pancakes, and Buttermilk Pancakes. The waitress said that the Coconut Pancakes are the most famous one. I ate Hawaiian Pancakes. It was very delicious. It had pineapples inside of pancakes. It had volume. Therefore, I could not eat completely myself. The price was about 6 dollars. It was not expensive. I shared with Waki. Therefore I paid 3 dollars. It was very cheap. The restaurant had 4 or 5 waiters and waitress at that time. They explained menu kindly. They also made good mood. I think mood is very important. Some decorations made good mood, for example, lights, tables, and music. This restaurant is located 1221 Kapiolani Blvd. It is not far from Waikiki. Therefore you can go easily. If you come to Hawaii, you should go this restaurant. I think that you will be happy. This restaurant is waiting for you.
I want to go again. First field trip was very fun for me.

Great Morning in Honolulu

The Original Pancake House, the shop where we went today was located near the Alamoana shopping center. When we arrived to there, the seats were almost full. And also, sweet pancakes’ flavor grazed my nose at the same time. My stomach got ready to eat them immediately. There are many dishes in the menu not only pancakes but also omelets and crapes and more. This time, I ordered “Hawaiian pancake” (6.95$). It is one of the most popular dishes in the shop. “Actually, macadamia nuts pancake is also one kind of popular one.” One waitress said so. There were so many visitors, but we could meet to our dishes soon. I think the speed is also good appeal to make satisfy to us.
The pancake was so hot and smelled good. It was not only so sweet, but also some sour flavor by pineapple. The butter on the hot pancake already began to melt. Moreover, the volume was tremendous!! Maybe, no one can eat a second helping of it. It was also feast for my eyes. I could not wait to eat, and as soon as it was put on my desk, I took knife and fork. When I cut it, I was surprised by its fluffy touch. And when I ate it, I felt that the dough disappeared in my mouth. I could not say anything the moment. It was so sweet and sour. What a yummy thing!! I have made pancakes, so I really under stand that it was so difficult to make moderately. It was never half baked one, but certainly, there was comfort moist. I really enjoyed eating them.
The opening time of The Original Pancake House is from 6:00 AM to 2:00PM. If you have a chance to visit Hawaii, I really recommend going there at least once. It will give great morning. MAHALO!!

Today, I went to Original Pancake House in Hawaii with my college students and my teacher. This shop is 1221 Kapiolani Blvd., Suite 103. This shop opens 6:00 am and closes 2:00 pm. If you want to use the car, you can park in Validated Parking. This shop is very crowded in the morning time. This shop is such as European kitchen, and waitress wears very cute dress. First, this shop was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1953. The shop’s recipe demands only the finest ingredients, such as 93 score butter, pure 36% whipping cream, fresh grade AA eggs, hard wheat unbleached flour, and the shop’s recipe sourdough starter. The shop’s batters and sauces are made fresh in each restaurant’s kitchen.
There are many kinds of pancakes in this shop. There are some examples.

My first field trip!!

Today we had first field trip with all classmates in core-4. We went “original pancake house”. This shop is located 1221 Kapiolani Blvd. This shop opened 6:00 to 2:00. There are a lot of people even though we arrived 9:00, so we had to wait some minutes outside. By the way, “The original pancake” was founded by Les Highet and Erma Huneneke in 1953 in Portland, Oregon.
In this shop, there are so many dishes that everyone ordered different dishes. I ordered “Hawaiian pancake”. When our dishes come, I amazed very much, because there are five pancakes!! In Japan, it is common that one dish have 1or 2 cakes in like this shop. Although, I shared with Daiki, I could felt full. Also these pancakes taste is so good. Many small pineapples are on the cakes and we spread the syrup very much. It is so sweet and good. In addition, cost is not so expensive. Most pancakes’ prices are only 6.25 dollars. In the morning, there are special dishes in there. These costs are about 3 to 4 dollars!!
In Hawaii, I had been thought the food is worse than Japan. However, I recognized the good foods in Hawaii today. It is very amazing and fantastic for me. Near the dormitory, there are few shops which serve good food, so I want to know more good shops. I appreciate this field trip. Please take us somewhere again.

HAPPY PANCAKE :)

Today, our class had the first field trip. Nick took us The Original Pancake House by a car. It is located on Kapiolani Blvd near Victoria Word Centers. It is not so far from Waikiki. The pancake house opens from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. everyday. This pancake house is very popular among loco, and it has been for over 35 years. When we arrived there, it was very crowded, and there were various generational people from children to elderly people. We had to wait a few minutes. The ambience of the pancake house was great. I imagined an old warm country house in America. There was a lot of stained glass. I noticed one of them that was made like pancake. It was really cute!! Also, the people who worked in this pancake house were friendly. I could not decide easily what I ate because there were a variety of pancakes. There were not only pancakes but also crapes, waffles, and so on, and all of them were looked very delicious for me. I ordered butter milk pancake. More than 5 pancakes were on a plate. It was fluffy, sweet, and really really delicious. I love to eat pancakes with maple syrup. It was also delicious and not too heavy. I spread syrup sufficiently. It was very happy for me. My friends ordered Banana pancakes and Hawaiian pancakes that ware pancakes with pineapples. My friend and I shared a little and I could try to eat other kind of pancakes. They were also so delicious. According to explanation on the menu, this pancake house is based on authentic recipes, preparation of all mixes by hand, and using only fresh ingredients. A waitress told us that the most popular dish in this pancake house is Macadamia Nut Pancake. The prices are reasonable. They are about from 5.00 to 7.00 dollars, and every dish has a hearty dish. I ate a lot, and I was very satisfied!!!

Field Trip

Today, I went to a field trip with my classmates. The field trip’s destination is Original Pancake House. This is one of pancake restaurants in Hawaii. This restaurant is located in 1221 Kapiolani Blvd., Suite 103. It is near the Ala Moana Shopping Center. If people come and get food in this restaurant, people should park in Validated parking, and if you want to check that day’s special, you can call 596-8213. This restaurant is opening daily AM6:00 through PM2:00. So, the restaurant is good for breakfast. This restaurant’s special dishes are Apple Pancake, Dutch Baby, and Senior Plate. Then, this restaurant’s most popular pancake is macadamia pancake. However, today I ordered banana pancake. This pancake is baked pancake that has banana inside. That taste is very delicious. I could taste maple syrup with sweet banana. In addition, Original Pancake House has very good coffee. They use Kona blend coffee. Kona coffee is one of the most favorite coffee, and that blend taste like I drunk one when I went to Maui island. Kona is one of cities in Hawaii Island. Kona coffee is grown in that place. Therefore, that coffee named Kona coffee. Finally, I want to compare Original Pancake House with Eggs’n Things. First I would like to say, it is just my opinion. The taste is that Eggs’n Things is better than Original Pancake House. However, the price is opposite. So, if people want to go pancake restaurant, Original Pancake House is good for their wallet
